Mr. Oil Gazette

July 2020

Happy fourth of July

We are so proud and so honored to receive this.

We could not have done it without you.

Thank you.

We are very excited about the new floor.

Come check it out!

“There’s a difference between interest and commitment.

When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit.

When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.” -unknown

It’s Rain Season! If you live in Florida, you know what this means. We have showers, some strong, some not, usually every afternoon.

The last thing you want is to be driving along, one of those showers pops up, you go to turn your wipers on and they are dry rotted.

This is Florida. The sun bakes everything. Including your wiper blades.

This is a perfect time to come in and have us check to see if your wiper blades are in good working condition for those afternoon showers.

We can check them for FREE.

If you need blades, we have them in stock, and we’ll put them on for you.

Wiper Blades start at $14.95 per blade!

You won’t find them for less anywhere else.

A couple of weeks ago, I was speaking with the Owner and the General Manager. We were discussing normal business issues and employees and I asked the two of them,

“What are you doing right?” Truth be told, we were a little amazed at the amount of business that was still coming in for an oil change. (Thank you!) The answer I received was priceless:

“You’re doing right because of what you’re not doing wrong.”

But we got the point.

We have 3 birthday’s to celebrate for the month of July:

  • Cody – July 10

  • Tyler – July 14

  • Vern – July 22

If you know these guys, or happen to meet them, please wish them a Happy Birthday!

If you would like to see your name or a loved one’s name in print here, please let me know!

Meet Cody.

You may or may not see him. He loves working in the pit. When he does come up, he is one of the best hood techs we have.

And not just because of his wonderful mechanical skills or his winning smile and personality.

He is a blast to talk to. He will never try to sell you something you don’t need. And he is honest.

What you may not know about Cody is where he came from and how we acquired him.

We “stole” this man from another oil change place. Actually, he begged us to hire him.

He told us stories of some of the things the “other” guys did and he just couldn’t do it. It’s not in his nature.

Are you a little curious? We were.

Let’s just say the next time you come in for an oil change, ask yourself, “Why do they have cameras and monitors upstairs and down?”

“Why do they show me my air filter?” “Why do they ask about my cabin filter?” “Why do they ask me questions?”

Those cameras are there for you, the customer, so you can see everything that happens above and below your vehicle.

Cody also has a love for animals. If you watch our posts, Cody is the one who adopted our little mystery kitten.

She was found inside a Chevy Cavalier, so he now calls her “Chevy”. He says she is doing very well and eating and growing to make up for lost time.

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July!

We’ll see you next time!
